In the most classic sense of the word, the gremlins came out to play during Tuesday nights defeat. I think we can all agree that being on the other end of the the "shopping spree" that is the blue team, really stinks. Nothing worse than seeing that hand picked gamer making the crazy play in center or going 3 for 3. But in all reality, we should have beat the blue team. Be it nerves, or getting a bit to cocky (see two posts ago), we just were not our usual selves.
The good part of it though was that really it was a pitchers duel last night. Rarely do you see as many strike outs and pop ups as last night. And seriously, Phil, when did you get a knuckle ball?!? Of course Phil debuts his new pitch before he goes on Deployment for two weeks...
So lets get them next week, northview green (7: 15 Field 2) is up and they are tough. They have a ton of experience with close games so we need to open it up early and not let them get into the game (we are visitors again, so GTG). Dante is their pitcher, and i think most of us have played against him before, so nothing new and scary. He talks ALOT and will try to get in your head, but unless he added something new, really does not have anything too crazy to throw.
Running with the theme of gremlins, I already have two no shows (Phil and Phil) for next weeks game,so it is critical that you let me know ASAP if you cannot make it! I can get subs, but only if i know.
