Northview Red Playoff Update...

So first off, let me state how I despise organizations that don’t update their web sites. The reason being that very clearly on the city of Lynnwood web page, it notes that only the top three teams go to the playoffs, but in fact, in the church league, it is the top four teams. Which leads to….

We are in the playoffs. Anthony, after dancing around all day waiting for information like a 2nd grader who drank too much Kool Aid decided to call the parks and rec office to get some info.

Turns out that Head to Head is the determining tie breaker, and SportsStandings is unable to handle this so the standings don’t display properly. So we lost the tie breaker for third to Guys Night out meaning we take 4th place.

So what does this mean to us? Two more freakin’ games!!!

We play on Tuesday August 5th field two at 6:00 against the dreaded soaring eagles. They might have a grudge against us since we were the only team to beat them. I got a grudge against them….well actually I don’t, but we can take them.

Some of the more astute readers might be wondering where the second game comes in. Well the 411 is that if we win we stay on field 2 , if we lose we go to field three.

So get your game faces on, double header on Tuesday starting @ 6:00

But after all this good news, the great softball karma wheel would not be complete with out some final smack. Jason ended up with a torn meniscus last night that will probably keep him out for the playoffs. At this point they are waiting and seeing on surgery.

This means it is critical that if you are not going to be there to let me know!

Also, one more reminder about the team BBQ August 15th at my house. 6:00, you all bring a desert or salad/side to share and I am providing the hot dogs/hamburgers. Nathan (who gets my vote for MVP now) is bringing a Keg so is excused from needing to bring anything else.
